A free interview warmup, with feedback
You can warm up for an interview without paying. Two free routes work: a self guided drill where you answer one question aloud and review it against a short rubric, and the Just One Interview free plan, which includes 20 minutes of AI practice a month with a report and coaching feedback after each round.
Is there a free interview warmup tool?
Yes. Since Google retired its free Interview Warmup page in April 2026, the free route most people search for is gone, but the need it served is easy to cover. Just One Interview has a free plan with 20 minutes of practice a month, and a no-tool drill costs nothing at all.
Be careful with pages that promise the old Google tool back. The original was free and never asked for payment details, and the Interview Warmup website guide shows where the real addresses point now.
What does the free plan include?
The free plan includes 20 minutes of practice a month. A practice round generates questions from the role, skills, and job description you choose, listens to your spoken answers, and ends with a report and coaching feedback. Practice is not recorded on video, and hiring teams never see it.
Twenty minutes is enough for real progress when you use it in short rounds. Two focused ten minute rounds a month, each ending in one specific improvement, beat an hour of unreviewed talking.

How do you warm up free without any tool?
Use the answer, review, retry loop. It needs a question, a timer, and your voice.
- Pick one question that your next interview is likely to ask.
- Answer it aloud in under two minutes, without stopping to edit yourself.
- Review the answer against a short rubric: was there a real example, a clear order, and a result?
- Choose one improvement, then answer the same question again.
The ten minute practice routine turns this loop into a repeatable session, and the practice questions guide gives you prompts with answer skeletons.
Free drill or free AI round: which should you use?
| Point | No-tool drill | Free AI practice round |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Nothing. | Nothing. The free plan includes 20 minutes a month. |
| Questions | You pick them yourself. | Generated from the role and skills you choose. |
| Feedback | Your own review against a rubric. | A report with coaching feedback after the round. |
| Best for | Daily habit and quick repetition. | A realistic check before a real interview. |
The honest answer is both. Use the drill through the week, and spend the free AI minutes just before a real interview, when outside feedback matters most.
What should a free warmup never require?
Your card details for the free part, access to your contacts, or a fee framed as a deposit. A warmup is practice. If a page asks for money so you can be considered for work, that is a different thing from practice, and you should close it.
