Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Just One Interview keeps when you use justoneinterview.com and the app at app.justoneinterview.com, why we keep it, and who can see it.
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to contact@justoneinterview.com.
Who we are
Just One Interview is a product of Auring Technologies LLP. You can write to us at contact@justoneinterview.com.
What we keep
We record the audio of every interview, practice rounds and The One alike. The recording holds your voice and the interviewer's. We also keep the text of your answers (a transcript) and the written report made from it. We do not record practice rounds on video. For The One, we also keep the video you choose to record. We also keep your account email and the other details below.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Account | Your name and email address, and your phone number if you sign in with it. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email address. |
| Profile | The role you are preparing for, your industry, your experience level and the language you choose. |
| CV | The CV you upload, if you choose to add one, and the text we read from it. |
| Interviews | An audio recording of each interview, with your voice and the interviewer's. The transcript of each practice round and the feedback report written from it. For a recorded take of The One, we also keep the video with its sound. |
| Payments | The payment ID, the amount, the plan and the date. Razorpay handles the payment and holds your card or UPI details. We never see your full card number. |
| Usage | The pages you open in the app, steps such as starting a round or opening the checkout, the site that sent you to us, and a random ID stored in your browser. |
| Country | The country you signed up from, worked out from your network address. We do not store the address itself. |
Why we keep it
- To run your interviews, write your feedback reports and show them in your account.
- To shape questions around your role and your CV.
- To show your recorded take of The One to hiring teams.
- To take payments and turn on your plan.
- To answer you when you write to us and to send messages about your account.
- To see where people get stuck, fix problems and stop misuse, such as one person making many accounts. People on our team may listen to an audio recording for these reasons.
- To email you practice tips that are based on your practice round and its report, and to tell you about Pro. These emails do not quote what you said. We do this only if you ticked the box at sign-up or turned it on in Settings. People who joined before the box existed are the one exception. It is explained further down, under the heading about people who joined before this choice existed.
Who sees it
Your report is in your account, where you can read it. Hiring teams can see your recorded take of The One, its transcript and its score. Anyone who has a share link that you created can watch that take. Practice rounds are not shown to hiring teams. The audio recordings we make of interviews are heard only by people on our team, and hiring teams do not get them.
When we prepare a follow-up email, the text is drafted by an AI model run on Microsoft Azure from the transcript of your practice round and its report. To name example employers and an interview question, a web search is run on your role and the country you signed up from, and on nothing you said. A person on our team reads the draft before it is sent. These emails record whether you opened them and which links you clicked, so that we can see if they help. Microsoft Azure, which sends them, collects this for us.
We also use other companies to run the service. They receive only what they need for their part:
- Microsoft Azure, for hosting, storage, usage events, and the AI model that drafts our follow-up emails.
- Google, for sign-in through Firebase and for the mailbox where our team reviews follow-up drafts.
- AI and speech providers, which receive your spoken answers and the text of your CV so that the interview can run and the report can be written.
- Razorpay, for payments.
We may also share data when the law requires it, or if the service is transferred to another owner.
People who joined before this choice existed
The sign-up box for practice tips is new. If you joined before it, we may send you practice tips unless you tell us to stop. If you are in the EU, the UK or the UAE and joined before it, we do not email you unless you turn the emails on in Settings.
Browser storage
The app keeps a few items in your browser's storage: your sign-in, a random ID for this browser, the site that sent you to us, and the role you picked and your email choice. The role and your email choice are kept until your account is set up. We use the random ID to understand how the product is used and to spot misuse. Clearing your browser data removes these items.
Where your data is kept
Your account, transcripts, reports and recordings are stored on cloud servers in India. Some of the providers named above process data in other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you ask us to delete it. When you ask, we delete your profile, CV, transcripts, reports and recordings. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires.
How to delete your data
Write to contact@justoneinterview.com from the email address on your account and say that you want your data deleted.
How to stop the emails
Use the unsubscribe link in any practice-tip email, or the switch in Settings. Stopping them does not affect your account.
Your other choices
- Ask for a copy of your data.
- Ask us to correct something that is wrong.
- Ask us to remove a recorded take, or to stop showing it to hiring teams.
- Ask us to delete the audio recording of an interview.
Write to contact@justoneinterview.com from the email address on your account.
Age
The service is for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
