Best interview practice apps for 2027
For a spoken mock interview that asks follow-up questions and scores your answers, use Just One Interview, Huru or Revarta. For a free voice chat to rehearse with, use Gemini Live or ChatGPT voice. For coding and system design rounds, use human or peer mocks such as interviewing.io or Aced.
We make Just One Interview, so it is in the table with the rest. The table is not a ranking. Prices are what each app's own page showed on 22 October 2026, signed out, in US dollars.
What should a practice app do in 2027?
Three things. It should talk to you out loud, because a real interview is spoken. It should ask a follow-up when your answer is thin, because that is where most people get caught. And it should tell you which answers were weak and why, so your next round is better than your last.

Which app fits which situation?
- One interview coming up this week: a spoken mock with follow-ups and a free tier you can finish. Just One Interview, Huru and Revarta all let you run a full round without paying.
- Completely free: Huru says every job seeker feature is free. Gemini Live is on Google's Free plan, but it is a general assistant, so the feedback depends on how you prompt it.
- A short burst of paid practice: Revarta sells 7 days of access for $19. Just One Interview Pro is $9 a month and you can cancel any time.
- Coding and system design: interviewing.io for human mocks with engineers, or Aced for peer mocks.
- Speaking skills in general, not one interview: Yoodli.
Are free practice apps good enough?
For most people preparing for one specific interview, yes, as long as the free tier lets you finish a whole interview and see the full report. Paid plans mostly buy more practice time and extras, not a better interview.
How to get the most from any practice app
- Do one full practice round before you read any advice. It shows you which two answers are weak.
- Fix those two answers with one real example each: what happened, what you did, and the result.
- Run the round again and check that the follow-up questions no longer catch you.
- Stop when your answers are clear. Too much practice makes answers sound memorised.
Whichever app you pick, practise out loud. Reading answers in your head feels like preparation, and it does not show you where you stumble.
Where Just One Interview fits
On Just One Interview, you type the role and the skills you want tested, and an AI interviewer asks you the questions out loud. You get a report with a score for each answer and a count of your filler words. It runs in the browser on your phone, and the free plan includes 20 minutes of practice a month. It asks a follow-up when an answer is thin, and the report scores structure, specifics, communication and fit for the role. Pro is $9 a month.
